Life As A Producer

Life As A Producer

" Stop making music to impress other producers. Focus on emotion and vibe, which is all that matters for the majority of listeners (the people who will pay your bills). Keep it simple, stupid. Music is magic. Stop making tech demos and start casting spells. "

Some of us looks for the money instead of actually focus on the music its-self. Being a producer comes with a lot of responsibilities. Its not for the weak, Your learn & You hurt. as a producer. I cut off everyone and I don't regret it because at the end of the day theres a time and a place where someone might need you and your caught up in the world.

NOTE : STOP LEAVING PHONE ON DND, YOU'LL MISS A LOT OF PLACEMENTS AND CHANCES!!!

“Regular” people doesn’t have the same type of sensitive ears as producers. But, they can tell when something feels off about a song, but they also have a hard time knowing what it is. They can be one of the best critiques, so it’s really good to let both producers and other people to listen and tell you what feels off and what sounds good.

Produce what you like, not what other people like.

Mix and take parts from different genres and try things out. It might sound surprisingly good together.

Don’t force yourself to make music when you feel like you have no ideas and inspiration, everyone have bad days/weeks.

Mix your track in mono, if you get a good sounding track in mono, it will often sound even better when you put it back in to stereo since every sound has a good place in the mix.

LESSON OF THE DAY

All i'm saying to you, Do it for yourself and not others. Don't let everyone eat off your plate because then what would be left for you?
